Worship Team Audition Results

Firstly, I’d like to express my most heartfelt and sincere delight and appreciation for all you wonderful young performers who showed up to audition! The numbers were incredible! It is just such a blessing that you all felt called and felt it in your heart to want to lead worship. It is a true testament to the amazing work the Lord is doing here at WOLCS! Thank you all for sharing your gifts and talents so bravely!

Due to various constraints such as staging, technical and timing aspects, I am only able to accept 6 students into the main worship team. Priority is given to the 8th grade students as this is their last chance to lead here.This worship team will be the group that leads the ‘all school’ Chapels. It will be called ‘Worship Team A’.

I’d also like to offer a brand new, mentorship, training program to our school! This team will be called ‘Worship Team B’. This group will meet every Monday from 3.15 - 3.30, and we will work on strengthening vocal skills, learning repertoire and gain experience singing harmonies, with opportunities to lead some middle school Chapels throughout the year. These students may also stay to watch the main worship team’s rehearsal, and have the opportunity for peer mentorship.

Students who did not make it into the worship team program this year will have the opportunity to continue to develop their vocal skills with 5th and 6th grade choir, and all students are encouraged to seek private vocal lessons. 5th and 6th grade choir will also be performing at Chapels throughout the year, and at outreach and also the ACSI Choral Festival so there will be lots of time to gain performance experience and to develop vocal prowess.
